Demons are outsiders existing outside of the cosmos in the Demon Dimension. Exist without material forms. Encourage mortals to commit their particular sin. Eventually taking over the body of their prey and using it to further spread their influence and create more demons.
Inherent / innate / instinct
Enslave Summoning: Risk: Average - The summoned demon will follow its instincts when it can get away with it Cost: Average - Required magic binds strong enough to force servitude Difficulty: Average - Any celestials that can be found and bound
Instinct Summoning: Risk: High - The demon is loose to perform its instinct, which it will proceed to do Cost: Low - Simply performing the demon’s instinct Difficulty: Low - Easy as performing the demon’s instinct
An ancient researcher Rex Clawthorn wrote two books of demons. The first was dedicated to the demons that were drawn by mortal actions while the second instead focused on demons drawn by divine intervention. These academic journals have been co-opted by demon worshipers as holy text.
The two books of demons were written by an ancient researcher on demons, Rex Clawthorne, an ancient summoner and scholar who researched demons. Three versions of the books exist: the originals, the originals and their direct copies, the fully translated into abyssal versions, and various local common language variations. Despite the books often used by cults as a holy book, it is far more scholarly in nature.
