The calendar is lunar based.
Each cycle of the month takes 30 days going from new moon to full to new for the start of the next cycle.

Wild Moon (The Beast) - Season: Water -> Earth Appearance: Blood Red Hue. Effect: Monsters are more active and then it is said monsters spawn in the deep wilderness during the Full Wild Moon.

Green Moon (The Farmer) - Season: Earth Appearance: The moon glows green. Effect: Plants observing the moon light grow significantly faster during this moon.
Relic Moon (The Architect) - Season: Earth -> Fire Effect: none
??? Moon (The Watcher) - Season: Fire Appearance: It appears as if a pupil of flames is present on the moon. The moon also wanes down and waxes up. Effect: Prophecies and divinations are stronger.
Mystic Moon (The Magician) - Season: Fire Effect: none
Ethereal Moon (The Dreamer) - Season: Fire -> Air Appearance: Purple hue. Effect: Dreams are vivid. Shared dreaming occurs, often even with those who have perished.
Conquest Moon (The Matriarch) - Season: Air Effect: none
Storm Moon (The Tempest) - Season: Air Appearance: Crackling of blue lightning surges around the moon Effect: Lots of storms!
Heroic Moon (The Warrior) - Season: Air -> Water Effect: none
Golden Moon (The Merchant) - Season: Water Appearance: Golden hue. Effect: Visibility is increased at night.
New Moon (The Lover) - The first moon of the cycle and the start of the new year. Wild Moon (The Beast) - Midway is the start of spring/earth season. Monsters and beasts are more reckless and abundant. True Moon (The Guardian) - The moon is dimmer and looks more gray and cratery. Green Moon (The Farmer) - Crops and plants tend to grow faster. Has a green hue. Relic Moon (The Architect) - Midway is the start of summer/fire season. Mystic Moon (The Magician) - Magic is stronger and it is the month where most innate casters cast their first spell. Lost Moon (The Watcher) - Starts with the summer solstice, the longest day. Disappears occasionally during the night. Ethereal Moon (The Dreamer) - Midway is the start of fall/air season. Faint purple ribbons appear to orbit the moon. Dreams are more vivid. Conquest Moon (The Matriarch) Storm Moon (The Tempest) - Storms are frequent and sea travel is dangerous, for all the most skilled crews. Heroic Moon (The Warrior) - Midway is the start of winter/water season. Golden Moon (The Merchant) - Ends with the winter solstice, the longest night. The golden light is bright enough to allow for traveling during night.
